GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Laquan Taylor was sentenced Friday to five years in prison for a November, 2022, shooting on Green Bay’s west side.
Taylor, 22, was previously convicted by a jury of three counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety. He was also placed on extended supervision for five years by Judge Donald Zuidmulder, court records show.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the area of St. Robert Drive and He-Nis-Ra Lane for reports of gunshots on Nov. 18, 2022. Police found seven bullet holes in the house and 10 shell casings in the driveway.
A female inside the home said there was a knock at the door. Two people in ski masks asked for if someone in particular was home. She said he was not, closed the door, then heard gunshots. There were three people in the home at the time.
Taylor was attempting to collect a debt for a previous drug deal, according to the complaint.
