OCONTO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Alisha Kocken was sentenced Tuesday to 16 years in prison for taking a gun from an Oconto Falls police officer and then shooting the officer.
Kocken, 32, was placed on extended supervision for 12 years after that by Judge Michael Judge for the Aug. 6, 2021, confrontation with Officer Nicole Blaskowski.
Specifically, the sentence breaks down as follows, with each of the four terms being served consecutively:
- Attempted first-degree intentional homicide: 13 years initial confinement (prison), six years extended supervision
- Resisting an officer: 1 year initial confinement, two years extended supervision
- Battery to an officer: 1 year initial confinement, two years extended supervision
- Disarming a peace officer: 1 years initial confinement, two years extended supervision
Kocken also must pay restitution of $28,410.72.
Kocken was charged after an incident where police were called to an Oconto Falls home. There was a physical confrontation between Kocken and Blaskowski.
At one point, Kocken grabbed Blaskowski’s gun and shot the officer, grazing her head and hitting her ballistic vest. Blaskowski was later released from the hospital.
