TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Two Rivers Police Department had to call for backup from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office on Friday after a man reportedly barricaded himself inside his home.
In a press release on Sunday, police said on Friday, May 31 just before 3 p.m., officers were conducting a check at a home where a 38-year-old man with outstanding warrants lived.
While officers were there, the release says, the man was reported to be armed and barricaded himself inside. Officers attempted negotiations with the man but weren’t successful.
Two Rivers Police requested assistance from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, asking them to bring the Bearcat to the home.
The release then says “Ultimately, the male surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.”
Police say this was an isolated incident, and the public is not in any danger.
