ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — TitletownTech is expanding to Milwaukee, thanks to a partnership with Microsoft.
On Wednesday, President Joe Biden and Microsoft Vice Chair and President Brad Smith announced a $3.3 billion manufacturing-focused AI co-innovation lab would come to the site of Foxconn in Racine County.
In collaboration with Microsoft and the Green Bay Packers, TitletownTech will establish a full-time operating presence, TitletownTech-Milwaukee, in the AI Co-Innovation Lab on the campus of UW-Milwaukee.
This allows TitletownTech to be close to the action at the new Microsoft lab while creating opportunity and engagement across the state.
“I think the important thing about the AI lab is that it’s not just going to be exploring and education and learning, though that’s always part of it, it’s really about creating something using AI that solves meaningful problems for manufacturers, for the marketplace,” said managing director of TitletownTech, Craig Dickman. “So what really makes it special is that companies are going to be able to create in this lab and come out with things that hopefully will fundamentally change their business, make them more competitive and in total, make the Wisconsin economy more competitive globally.”
Packers president Mark Murphy says there’s only seven labs like this in the world and this would be the third one in the U.S.
