MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Katrina Baur, the mother of the missing Elijah Vue, has asked to have to her cash bond converted to a signature bond.
Vue was reported missing Feb. 20. Despite extensive searches, the 3-year-old has not been found.
Baur, 31, faces four counts, including being party to the chronic neglect of a child. She has pleaded not guilty. No trial date has been set.
She is currently in the Manitowoc County Jail, unable to post a $15,000 cash bond.
Her attorney has asked for that to be converted into a signature bond. A motions hearing is set for April 30.
A status conference is scheduled for Friday.
Baur left Vue in the care of Jesse Vang, who also faces neglect charges. Neither has been charged in connection with Vue’s disappearance.
