GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Eisenhower Elementary School in Green Bay held a new reading event Friday that connected students with their community.
A slew of volunteers from various organizations in the Green Bay area participated in the very first Read-A-Thon.
From police officers to Packers players and even Disney princesses, guest readers took turns reading different books to different classrooms.
The goal of the event is to inspire students to read and increase their interest in the community.
