WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Schools were locked down as a precaution Wednesday after a threat.
Waupaca police say around 2:25 p.m., a staff member at Waupaca Christian Academy reported receiving an email that included a threat toward the school.
A similar threat was also reported in another jurisdiction in the state Thursday, police said.
After investigation, police determined the threats were not credible. Schools in the district were locked down while police investigated.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department and Wisconsin State Patrol helped in the investigation.
