GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – “The coolest stuff you’ll see all year!” That’s how the Einstein Project described its first-annual Community STEM Showcase.
More than 60 science, technology, engineering and math enthusiasts took part in the event, held Friday at the Brown County STEM Innovation Center on UW-Green Bay’s campus.
Janowski said many participants were school-age children with their teachers, but some college students and adults presented work as well.
Just seeing that diversity of ages, representing all different walks of life within our community, bringing them all together for an event like this, all around the idea of learning about science and engineering, hands-on stuff, it’s outstanding,” he said.
Projects ranged from robotics and rockets to inventions and prototypes, as well as traditional science fair experiments. When you walk around and ask those kids different questions about their work, they’re so into it because that was something that they chose as their project, they spent the time to research it and they’ve learned a bunch of great scientific information.
