GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — In celebration of Career Technical Education (CTE) month, State Superintendent Dr. Jill Underly will visit Green Bay Southwest High School on Wednesday to learn about the Green Bay Area Public School District’s career and technical education pathways.
“Career Technical Education month is just a great opportunity to get into schools and really see what the students and staff are doing,” said Chris Bucher, communications officer with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
During her visit, Dr. Underly will have an opportunity to visit the AgriScience program and see how students work with the hydroponics, aeroponics and aquaponics systems.
In addition, a student panel will be convened in the Career Center, where students will share their youth apprenticeship and work experience opportunities.
Finally, Dr. Underly will meet students learning more about careers in nursing and health occupations.
