TOWN OF LIND, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – After an overflow crowd prompted a meeting on a controversial proposed biodigester to be delayed, a new hearing date has been set.
A public hearing on the manure-to-energy facility at Brooks Farm will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Waupaca High School, at 5 p.m., according to the town clerk.
The hearing will be in the auditorium, with overflow spaces available, if necessary.
The digester would utilize both manure collected from the farm and waste delivered to the farm. It’s a system that has some in the community skeptic. Some neighbors have raised concerns about traffic and groundwater.
