GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Angel Guerrero was sentenced Monday to three years in prison for stabbing a teen he believed stole money and a vehicle title from him.
Guerrero was also placed on extended supervision for four years by Judge Tammy Jo Hock. Guerrero, 22, previously pleaded no contest to second-degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping.
The stabbing took place Jan. 10 at a business in the 1100 block of Radisson Street.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim told police he knew Guerrero and was at his home the night before the stabbing. At one point, Guerrero accused the victim of stealing from him.
The next night, the victim said he went to the business for a meeting with another person. When he saw Guerrero’s vehicle arrive, the victim realized he had been set up. The victim told police Guerrero got out of the vehicle, stabbed him in the stomach with a six-inch knife, then went back to his vehicle and drove away.
Eight days after the stabbing, police found Guerrero through an anonymous tip and arrested him. He told police he did “what (he did)” because of the theft he suspected.
