WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Human remains found in Little Lake Butte des Morts this spring have been identified as those of a Neenah man reported missing last year.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says DNA analysis determined the remains were those of Ju Lee, 37. Lee was last seen on Feb. 4, 2022, in Neenah.
The sheriff’s office did not indicate how Lee died or how his body ended up in the water.
The remains were found the night of April 27 in a marshy area in Fox Crossing. At the time, sheriff’s officials said they believed the remains had been in the water for some time, and the condition of the remains would delay identification.
