GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay police released the name of the woman who crashed her vehicle into the Fox River and died last month.
The driver has been identified as Randi Van Lanen, 39, of Green Bay.
The vehicle that was driven by Van Lanen was recovered from the river on May 6 after it was seen leaving the roadway in the 100 block of Main Street, just before the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge.
The Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of her death as drowning.
The investigation into the crash remains active pending further medical testing.
Police say Van Lanen was the only occupant in the vehicle.
