KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Kaukauna Public Library is remembering the 1,163 Wisconsinites listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The library is hosting the Wisconsin Veterans Museum’s traveling exhibit, “Wisconsin Remembers: A Face for Every Name.”
The exhibit features a photo of each of the Wisconsinites on the Washington, D.C. memorial. It also includes photos from the Highground Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Neillsville.
“We’re very happy and fortunate to have it during Memorial Day. I didn’t know if we’d be able to,” said James Berven with the library. “But yeah, it’s just, we’d like to have people come, take a moment out of their day, look face to face at all these faces, think of what they gave and what could have been.”
The exhibit will be available for viewing through June 9.
