GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Green Bay Packer player’s efforts on the field and fans are making a difference in the lives of children.
Running back Aaron Jones announced he is donating 1,025 pairs of shoes to Wisconsin students and Boys & Girls Club members, as part of his “Yards for Shoes” campaign.
For every rushing yard Jones gained during the 2022 season, his A&A All The Way Foundation pledged to donate a pair of shoes to a child who needs them, up to 1,000 pairs.
Jones gained more than 1,000 rushing yards during the 2022 season, and Packers fans chipped in to fund an additional 25 pairs of shoes, totaling 1,025 pairs of donated shoes.
“I love this campaign,” said Jones. “Seeing the smiling faces on these kids every year is really touching. It feels great to give back to the Wisconsin community and support these kids.”
Kids at 15 different schools and Boys & Girls Clubs across the state will receive new shoes.
