POLK COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A woman with ties to Northeast Wisconsin is missing after getting into an unknown vehicle earlier this week.
Krystamarie Ilizabeth Welch, 22, was last seen at her home in rural Frederic early Sunday morning.
Welch is described as 5,’ 145 pounds and having hazel eyes and brown hair with blonde tips.
She has a history of mental illness — including diagnoses for bipolar and multiple personality disorder. Welch is no longer taking her medications to treat the disorders, according to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
According to her boyfriend, Welch was contacted by an unknown person who said Welch’s niece was in trouble, injured and at a local hospital. Welch then gathered two bags together and was then seen getting into an unknown vehicle.
Authorities have determined that Welch’s niece was not injured or in distress.
Welch was last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt that said “Pro Lawn” on it, camouflage leggings and black shoes. She was also wearing her glasses and a silver ring on her left ring finger.
Authorities say Welch has a wolf paw tattoo on the outside of her right bicep and a C-section scar on her abdomen.
Since she left, Welch has not returned to her home or been in contact with any known family or friends.
She has known ties to Green Bay and Oshkosh as well as the state of Maine.
Anyone with information regarding Welch’s location is encouraged to call the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 97150 491-5904 or email Investigator Andrew Vitalis at andrew.vitalis@polkcountywi.gov.
