HOWARD, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — State funds will cover about 70% of the village of Howard’s costs for cleaning up from last June’s damaging storm.
Brown County Emergency Management posted two photos on Twitter of village officials accepting more than $158,000 for recovery efforts.
The money came from the Wisconsin Disaster Fund, which is administered by the state emergency management department.
The damage occurred on June 15, when a storm spawned 10 confirmed tornadoes in Northeast Wisconsin. None of the confirmed tornadoes was in Howard.
