GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Following this week’s school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, the Green Bay Police Department is assessing the situation.
The shooting left three 9 year olds, and three adults dead; in addition to the shooter. Green Bay Police Chief, Chris Davis, says a big take away from this event is the value of early police intervention.
“We have a fairly sophisticated set of training and policies to deal with events like that,” said Chief Davis. “But you always, when something like that happens, want to say ‘how would that go for us?’”
Chief Davis noted the importance of always being aware of your surroundings, and knowing where you can escape to quickly should you need to get out of your current situation.
