GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Trial started Monday for a man who allegedly tried to hire someone to kill a sexual assault victim and her mother.
The trial for Laene Piontek is scheduled to last all week. His charges include repeated sexual assault of a child and solicitation of first-degree intentional homicide.
Piontek allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl over the course 2014 and 2015, according to the complaint in that case.
A jail inmate told police Piontek offered him $20,000 for the murders, and wanted it to look like an accident. Piontek gave descriptions of the two, as well as making diagrams of their residence, according to the criminal complaint.
