(WTAQ-WLUK) — Sturgeon spearers registered their fewest fish of the season Wednesday as Winter Storm Delilah kept many off Lake Winnebago.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says only seven sturgeon were registered for the day. Four were males and three adult females. No juvenile female sturgeon were speared on Wednesday.
Four of the seven were registered at Stockbridge.

The largest sturgeon of the day measured 81.1 pounds and 64.5 inches long. It was registered by Jackson Goldapske at the Southwest Winnebago station.
For the season, 1,305 sturgeon have been speared, 1,020 on Lake Winnebago and 285 on upriver lakes Poygan, Winneconne and Butte des Morts.
The spearing season on Lake Winnebago has four more days left. Spearing on the upriver lakes ended last weekend.
