WISCONSIN (WTAQ-WRN) — Former Wisconsin governor Tony Earl is seriously ill, according to Governor Tony Evers.
“We’re praying for him. He’s an extraordinary human being and did a great job as governor, and a good leader across the state of Wisconsin. I know he’s seriously ill.” said Evers.
Evers provided the update on the 86-year-old Earl during a stop in Eau Claire on Monday.
Earl, a Democrat, was governor from 1983 to 1987. He was also Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources and served in the state Assembly.
