APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Appleton police are investigating a shooting that took place in the 700 block of N. Fair St. Saturday night.
At approximately 4:43 p.m. Appleton Police Officers were dispatched after receiving reports of multiple people fighting in the street.
The caller also reported hearing a gunshot.
When Officers arrived, they found evidence indicating that a gun was fired, however, those involved in the fight were no longer on the scene.
At 4:54 p.m. additional officers were dispatched to an area hospital where a 17-year-old male had arrived with a gunshot wound.
It was determined that the male had sustained the gunshot wound during the fight on Fair St.
At this time, the male is receiving treatment for injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
