WRIGHTSTOWN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Two Wrightstown facilities in village’s industrial park will be adding over 120 manufacturing jobs after receiving two Transportation Economic Assistance grants.
Gov. Tony Evers with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced the TEA grants for the village Thursday.
The grants will allow Alliance Plastics Inc. and Drexel Systems LLC’s to build rail spurs, which will connect Wrightstown to markets around the country and Canada.
“These rail spurs will not only create and retain jobs in our manufacturing industry,” said Evers, “but they will also improve and bolster our state’s transportation infrastructure, expanding opportunities for Wisconsin industries to grow and succeed for years to come.”
Alliance Plastics will receive $400,000 to create a 1,384-foot rail spur, ultimately creating 79 jobs.
Drexel will receive $500,000 to reconstruct a 4,715-foot rail spur, creating 50 jobs.
“Efficient transportation of goods to these companies will continue to grow our community and the northeastern Wisconsin marketplace,” said Village Administrator Travis Coenen.
