CHILTON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Calumet County officials say they’ve made an arrest after the remains of a murder victim was found in a park last year.
Last September, the remains of Starkie Swenson were found at High Cliff State Park. The 67-year-old was killed in 1983. In 1994, John Andrews was convicted in the killing and served his time.
Authorities alleged Swenson was having an affair with Andrews’ ex-wife and was murdered in what has been described as a love triangle in Neenah.
On Thursday, officials say they arrested now 82-year-old Andrews of Chilton. He was booked into the county jail on recommended charges of hiding a corpse.
Formal charges have not been filed.
Andrews is expected to make his initial court appearance Friday, with the criminal complaint to be filed then as well.
