OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A construction project currently underway in Oshkosh will soon create even more traffic issues.
The reconstruction of Algoma Boulevard began March 16 with the closure of High Avenue at two sections including Vine Avenue and the UW-O pedestrian mall. These closures are anticipated to last a total of 4 – 6 weeks. Until High Avenue reopens, Algoma Boulevard is open to two-way traffic.
The next phase will be the closure of Algoma Boulevard. That will take place when High Avenue has had temporary pavement placed in order to open High Avenue. During this phase, High Avenue will be open to two-way traffic from New York Avenue to Osceola Street. This will remain in effect for the remainder of the project.
The project is currently anticipated to be complete in mid to late November.
