APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The American Rescue Plan is funding state grants in Wisconsin.
On Tuesday, Gov. Tony Evers made a stop in Appleton to announce more than $82 million from the Equitable Recovery Grant Program. He presented a $1 million check to the “Wisconsin Coalition of Mutual Assistance Associations.”
The funding will help businesses like Long Cheng Marketplace.
“You know the idea of economic development, business development and behavioral and mental health issues all have been made more complex, especially for some folks during this pandemic,” Evers said. “So it is absolutely tied to the pandemic.”
More than 100 grants are being awarded statewide.
