APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An Appleton man was arrested on attempted first-degree intentional homicide charges, police say.
Officers were called to the 1100 block of W. College Avenue just before 2:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of a physical fight involving a weapon.
When police arrived, they found a 54-year-old Appleton man with a significant neck injury consistent with the use of an edged weapon.
The first officer on scene quickly provided bleeding control until the arrival an ambulance.
The suspect, Michael Miller, 61, of Appleton, was found a short distance from the scene and taken into custody.
Investigators say Miller and the victim knew each other prior to the incident.
At this time, no formal charges have been filed against Miller.
