ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) — Fans around Green Bay’s Stadium District celebrated as the clock ran to zero and the Milwaukee Bucks clinched the NBA Championship.
Listen to this story:
The Bucks had the ball and were up by seven with about 42 seconds left on the clock when the crowd at Stadium View Sports Bar in Ashwaubenon realized what was about to happen: the Milwaukee Bucks were about to take home the NBA Championship. Then, the clock hit 00.
Moments later, a chant made famous by former Bucks guard Brandon Jennings just days before ultimately losing the the first round NBA Playoff Series to the Miami Heat:

Jennings prediction was right. It wasn’t right in 2013, but for Green Bay Bucks fans, it’s better late than never.
“I feel great man,” one fan said moments after the win. “It’s been a long time coming, and I love it.
“These guys, they play for each other. They don’t play, you know, individually,” another told WTAQ. “They don’t need the limelight.”
Even if you weren’t a Bucks fan…you were having a good time.
“I’m a Bulls fan, but I’m no hater–the Bucks, it was their turn,” said a patron.
Even though they were 117 miles from Fiserv Forum, you wouldn’t have known it hearing the Bucks fans in Green Bay on a historic Tuesday night.
The win was the first for the Bucks in 50 years and the first time they’ve ever won it at home.
