OCONTO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 78-year-old man is dead as a result of a house fire in Oconto County.
Officials were notified shortly after 6:30 a.m. Thursday of a fire in the 1500 block of Big Bear Lane in the Town of Lakewood.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the house engulfed in flames consumed by fire.
During efforts to put out the fire, crews found a 74-year-old woman with burns outside the home. They also found the deceased man inside.
No victims have been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
