GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Manitowoc County man has been sentenced for child sex and pornography crimes.
Timothy Tetzlaff, 59, pleaded guilty in March to one count of interstate travel with the intent to engage a minor in criminal sexual activity and another count of production of child pornography.
Prosecutors say last October, an underage victim reported being abused. An investigation revealed that Tetzlaff often took minors on camping trips throughout the United States and Canada, abusing them during the trips. He also assaulted children at his town of Mishicot home, according to prosecutors. Investigators also found photos Tetzlaff took of a boy in 2015 while the boy was sleeping.
After Tetzlaff was arrested, several more victims came forward. Prosecutors said at sentencing that Tetzlaff had abused at least eight children beginning in 1987.
Tetzlaff was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison and will spend the rest of his life on supervised release.
