MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Explosive devices had to be detonated twice this week in Marinette County.
Sheriff Jerry Sauve says the Brown-Outagamie County Bomb Squad was called to detonate dangerous blasting caps.
Devices were detonated on Army Lane in the Town of Stephenson and Van Ginkel Road in the Town of Niagara The second incident involved 90 blasting caps in an outbuilding.
There is no threat to public, as the materials were properly disposed, Sauve says.
Authorities advise the public to be aware and watchful of any suspicious or potentially dangerous explosives while cleaning outbuildings and nearby property.
