DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) — Several dozen people from the Green Bay area are going to load themselves onto a bus next week en route to Washington, DC, for a “Stop the Steal” rally in support of President Donald Trump.
Tamara Gasparick isn’t going, but she is using her connections in the bus industry to get things put together.
“We truly think that we won this election,” Gasparick told WTAQ. “All of the evidence is showing that.”
It’s a sentiment she believes so strongly that she managed to get a bus together to bring 49 people to the rally next Wednesday. There are enough people who share her sentiments that they’ve got a second bus on standby, too.
“We started the signup at 3:00, and it was literally going a person a minute,” said Shannon Charles, who is also helping with organization. “At 3:14 we had 14 people, at 3:21 we had 21.”
The day of the rally coincides with the date that congress is expected to formally certify President-Elect Joe Biden’s electoral college victory. That’s not getting the organizers down.
“We want our representatives and our president to know that we are going to stand and do something,” Gasparick said.
Those traveling will only be in DC for a day, arriving the morning of the 6th and departing that evening.
