GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Another tradition at the Frozen Tundra will see a hiatus from fans this season.
Every year following a big snowfall, fans line up bright and early outside of Lambeau Field ready to take a shovel and clear out the seats around the bowl. Green Bay Packers director of public affairs Aaron Popkey says, due to the reduced seating capacity and the way seating will be configured, the process has changed enough that the team will manage the shoveling with an “internal” crew.
While a call won’t be made for shovelers this season, Popkey says the tradition will definitely continue, but adds that they simply don’t need the numbers at this point.
