Brown County republicans, and democrats, say it’s no surprise — considering the results from 2016.
“I’ve been saying for the last year the road to the White House is going to go straight through Wisconsin and straight through the Fox Valley,” said Michael Moran chairman of the Democratic Party of Brown County.
“They’re not taking Wisconsin for granted and they’re excited for the chance to return to see the voters of Wisconsin,” said chairman of the Republican Party of Brown County James Fitzgerald, “they’ve got a great story to tell.”
Both parties believe Northeast Wisconsin will have a big say in who wins the state this year.
“Seeing we’re this battleground state and a very purple state, this is going to be the place where a lot of things are determined,” said Moran.
“In 2020 people are highly energized, they know what’s at stake,” said Fitzgerald, “they know how to protect those conservative values and those values they celebrate as a family. They want to see Trump return to the White House.”
2016 saw President Trump win every county in Northeast Wisconsin, except for Menominee.
