TOWN OF RED CEDAR, WI (WSAU) A man was accidentally shot by a member of his own hunting party on a game farm in Dunn County on Sunday.
Sheriffs deputies say four family members were bird hunting when the 60-year-old was accidentally shot. A police report says one person set their shotgun down to tend to one of their dogs without engaging the trigger lock. The gun fell over and discharged.
The victim was hit with birdshot and was airlifted from the scene. Their name and condition is not known.
The Department of Natural Resources is investigating the incident.
