The Green Bay Bullfrogs opened the Northwoods League season with a 10-9 loss at the hands of the Battle Creek Bombers before 1171 fans at Joannes Stadium Tuesday night. The visitors struck for five runs in the second inning to take the lead. Green Bay didn't record it's first hit until the 5th which ignited a five run rally to tie the game. Battle Creek scored three in the sixth and two more in the 7th to lead 10-6 heading into the ninth. The Bullfrogs rallied for three runs but left the bases loaded to end the game. Ivan Vietez went 3 for 6 with two runs batted in. The two teams meet again Wednesday night at Joannes at 7:05 PM.
