Brewers slam Braves, end slide

The Milwaukee Brewers season worst, four game losing streak is over thanks to a couple of big swings at Turner Field.  The Brewers knocked off the NL East leading Atlanta Braves 6-1.  Mark Reynolds smashed a first inning, grand slam home run off Ervin Santana to give Milwaukee a 4-0 lead.  Kyle Lohse gave up one run back in the bottom of the first on a Justin Upton single but dominated the rest of the way.  Lohse improved to 6-1 by retiring 11 straight batters and allowed only two baserunners before exiting after the 8th inning.  He allowed just four hits and struck out 8.  Carlos Gomez tacked on a two run shot in the 4th for the other Milwaukee runs.   The offense came to life after getting shut out twice during the four game slide.  Manager Ron Roenicke had the team skip batting practice before the game and it paid off.   Matt Garza will be on the mound as the Brewers (28-19) seek a split of the four game series Thursday night.  Pre-game coverage begins at 5:35 PM on WTAQ.
