(WNFL)- The Milwaukee Brewers will play the rubber game of their home series against Pittsburgh this afternoon. The Brewers dropped a 4-to-1 decision last night, snapping a five-game home winning streak against the Pirates. Milwaukee still has the largest division lead in the National League, with a five-game edge over second-place Saint Louis in the Central. The Crew's winning percentage of .625 is the second-largest in the NL behind San Francisco, even though Milwaukee has dropped seven of its last 12. Brewers' All-Star Carlos Gomez and slugger Aramis Ramirez are both out -- Gomez with back spasms and a three-game suspension, and Ramirez with a bad hamstring. Manager Ron Roenicke was toying with the idea of using hot-hitting catcher Jonathan Lucroy at first base today, keeping him in the lineup while Martin Maldonado gets a turn behind the plate. Right-hander Yovani Gallardo will start for Milwaukee this afternoon. He's 2-and-2 with an 2.90 ERA. Gallardo has still not given up a run in day games, over 12-and-two-thirds innings. Pirates' left-hander Wandy Rodriguez is coming off the disabled list to start today. He's been out with an inflamed right knee, and is 0-and-2 with a 7.65 ERA. Today's first pitch is at 12:10 from Miller Park.
