GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Walmart has officially submitted new renderings and a site plan to the city of Green Bay Thursday.
It calls for a 154,000 square foot store with 623 parking spaces in the Broadway District.
The new renderings show facade changes, including red brick and second-floor windows.
In a statement, the company said:
“We’ve made significant changes to the original proposal that allow for additional development on the site, include urban and pedestrian-friendly elements, and incorporate design features that reflect the Broadway district’s historic character.”
Also in the update plan, Walmart has set aside 500,000 square feet of the Larsen Green property which would allow for first floor parking and residential or office use.
Green Bay city leaders voted back in March to change the future use of that site to a "downtown" designation. The vote prevented a big box-sized building from being constructed on the property.
