The Milwaukee Brewers bullpen has been a huge part of their fast start, a major league leading 22 victories, but the pen failed to close out a 23rd Tuesday night. The Arizona Diamondbacks roughed up Brandon Kintzler for three runs in the top of the 8th in a 7-5 victory. The visitors struck first as Paul Goldschmidt cracked a two run home run in the top of the first inning off Marco Estrada. Milwaukee answered with their biggest inning of the season, plating five runs in the bottom of the first. Logan Schafer had the big blow, a two run double. The Brewers also cashed in a couple of Arizona errors. Four of the runs against Josh Collmenter were unearned. Collmenter and the Diamondbacks held Milwaukee scoreless the rest of the way. Estrada left with a 5-4 lead but in the 8th Kintzler gave it up in a matter of four pitches. Goldschmidt doubled, scored on a single and then Aaron HIll broke a 5 all tie with a two run blast. The Brewers (22-12) still lead the NL Central by five games and close out the series sending Wily Peralta against Bronson Arroyo Wednesday afternoon. Pre-game coverage begins at 11:35 AM on WTAQ.
