Brewers nip Pirates

It looked like it might be a long weekend in Pittsburgh for the Milwaukee Brewers after they got drubbed 15-5 on Friday night.  Milwaukee bounced back with a 9-3 victory on Saturday and took the rubber game of the series with a 1-0 nail biter on Sunday at PNC Park.  Yovani Gallardo pitched a gem for his fourth victory of the season, allowing no runs on four hits with a season high eight strikeouts in seven innings.   Jeff Locke took a hard luck loss for the Pirates, giving up a run on three hits in 7 innings.  Jonathan Lucroy had three of Milwaukee's four hits on the day and after doubling in the top of the 7th, came home on a groundout by Aramis Ramirez.  Francisco Rodriguez finished it off for his 19th save of the year.  Milwaukee (38-26) maintains a five game lead over St. Louis in the division race.  After a day off Monday, the Brewers open a three game series against the New York Mets at Citi Field on Tuesday night.
