RACINE, WI (WTAQ) - A Racine man and his son were rescued from their stranded boat on Lake Michigan Saturday morning.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office says the 18-foot boat was four miles off shore when it engine stopped and the boat started taking in water.
The man and his 18-year-old son were rescued by the Sheriff’s Water Patrol after radioing for help.
After getting a tow back to shore, the two were cited for an equipment violation because the water intake was not connected properly.
