The Milwaukee Brewers wound up splitting a four game, home and home interleague series with the Minnesota Twins, slugging out an 8-5 victory at Target Field Thursday night. Oswaldo Arcia walloped a grand slam home run off Milwaukee starter Wily Peralta in the third inning to put the home team on top. Carlos Gomez got three runs back in the top of the 4th with a homer with two runners aboard. In the sixth, Khris Davis belted a two run shot to give the Brewers a 5-4 lead and Jonathan Lucroy added some insurance with a two run blast in the top of the ninth. Francisco Rodriguez closed it out for this 18th save. The Brewers (36-25) are back up by five games in the NL Central and they head to Pittsburgh for a weekend series. Major League Baseball conducted it's free agent amateur draft on Thursday night. The Brewers tapped high school prospects with each of their first three choice. The 12th overall pick is left handed pitcher Kodi Medeiros of Hilo, Hawaii. In the second round, the Brewers selected shortstop Jacob Gatewood of California and outfielder Monte Harrison of Missouri.
