(WNFL)- The Milwaukee Brewers can extend their division lead to three games tonight, with a victory over the Mets. The Brewers open a four-game series against New York at Miller Park. Milwaukee is the only team among the four National League Central contenders playing this evening. The Crew is currently 2.5 games ahead of both Saint Louis and Pittsburgh. They're also 5.5 up on Cincinnati, after sweeping the Reds in three games this week. Right-hander Matt Garza starts for Milwaukee tonight against Mets' righty Dillon Gee. Garza will try to even his 6-7 record, and improve on his 4.04 ERA. He took the loss in each of his last two starts, giving up five runs at Washington last Saturday after getting just one batter out. Gee is 4-2 with a 2.92 ERA. He has won three of his last four decisions. Gee lost his most recent start at San Diego, giving up five runs in five innings.
