MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) - Manitowoc police say an 18-year-old New Jersey man was caught spray-painting graffiti at the city's marina on Monday.

Cops received a tip of a man vandalizing a sign on the north pier. The person who called it in watched the suspect until police arrived to arrest him.

Police say 4 different locations on the pier were damaged.

Areas around Manitowoc's lighthouse were spray-painted with swastikas and curse words last week. That damage is still being investigated.

The man arrested was booked into the Manitowoc County Jail for criminal damage to property. He was later released on a $200 cash bond.

Anyone with information about the recent graffiti is asked to call the Manitowoc Police Department at (920) 686-6551.
