GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ) - Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute turned into a sea of red, white and blue as a few hundred fans turned out to cheer on Team USA in the World Cup on Tuesday.
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers held a World Cup watch party in the Fox Club after the City of Appleton cancelled its plans for a downtown watch party.
Fans in attendance saw the game on every TV inside the Fox Club, and even on the scoreboard outside.
“I think it’s really nice how they have all the TV’s set up for the game,” Spencer Bard of Appleton told FOX 11. “I like it because there aren’t commercials every two minutes and because it’s 45 minutes of straight action for every half.”
However, the fans didn't get to see a happy result with the U.S. losing to Belgium 2-1.
