Police say drugs, rap song led to Oshkosh stabbing

OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) - A fight over a drug bebt and the rights to a rap song apparently led to a stabbing in Oshkosh.

Police say the fight happened just after 11 a.m. last Wednesday in the 600 block of Waugoo Avenue.

Investigators say that a 17-year-old boy stabbed a 22-year-old man with a 13-inch kitchen knife. The victim suffered a collapsed lung, along with cuts to his spleen and kidney. He had surgery and is expected to survive.

Police say the 17-year-old was arrested for reckless injury. Officers say an 18-year-old man from Milwaukee was arrested later that same day for his role in the incident. That man was booked into jail on counts of battery and disorderly conduct.

Police did not release the names of the people involved.
