SAN FRANCISCO (WTAQ) - The defense of the Green Bay Packers had trouble of a different kind against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday in their 34-28 loss.
The victorious 49ers won last season's NFC Divisional playoff by running over the Packers, but it was the arm of quarterback Colin Kaepernick which did them in. Kaepernick finished 27-of-39 for 412 yards and 3 touchdowns, most of which went to new wide receiver Anquan Boldin. Boldin caught 13 of those balls for 208 yards and one TD.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished 21-of-37 for 333 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Wide receivers Jordy Nelson and Randal Cobb each caught 7 passes for over 100 yards and a TD.
Two turnovers also didn't help the Packers (0-1).
