Conservative Milwaukee group of medical professionals challenge health care law

by

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAU) - A federal lawsuit was filed in Milwaukee by a politically conservative group of medical professionals who want the Affordable Cart Act declared unconstitutional.

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons filed the suit against the Affordable Care Act saying the government postponement of the employer mandate was done without the approval of Congress.

Employers with at least 50 workers wouldn’t face penalties until 2015, but Obama Administration still requires individuals to get an approved health plan by March 31st of face a fine of $95 or higher depending on their income.

The group publishes the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons which has printed articles that linked abortion with breast cancer, HIV does not cause AIDS, both of which are not accepted by the medical community.  The group also think the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control are unconstitutional.

Both the White House and the Internal Revenue Service are named as defendants. So far, neither government entity has commented on the suit
