KUAKAUNA, WI (WTAQ) - The winner of a one million dollar Powerball ticket from a month ago that was purchased in Kaukauna has come forward.
Paula Steffes from Kaukauna presented the winning Sept. 4th ticket to Wisconsin Lottery officials Friday.
Steffes collected a single lump sum, which after taxes came to $672,500.
Steffes says she used her own numbers for the first five balls, but left the Powerball up to the computer.
The ticket was purchased at Crooks Express in Kaukauna. The convenience store gets a $20,000 commission for the sale.
